Why not bust your tail on your CC tuba until your finances have recovered?
Have you completely mastered all performance techniques necessary to play your CC instrument?
As a mostly F tuba player, I can tell you that if you think you will be auditioning for orchestra jobs (such as they might be) some day, F-tuba performance comes into play for about 10%-15% of the excerpts on most audition lists.
