Once I read about an activity heald at a "Guild of American Luthiers" Conference which had the participants passing every bit of a full size guitar through a napkin ring sooner than the next team. I wasn't thinking to myself, that this was injurious to the craft of guitar repair techs or string instrument builders, ...I laughed. It was meant for the participants (and onlookers) pleasure.
Was the Tuba toss intended to advance the cause of tuba players?? I hadn't thought so when I heard about it.
