The guys who talk about partials are one to something. CC is the second partial for open valves on a CC tuba. However CC is the THIRD partial of 1-3(4) valves on a BBb tuba. The overtone series for that combination is FFF(not on the piano and barely audible to humans)FF and CC. So you are using more tubing for that note on a BBb tuba.
