I understand that this was precisely the situation with the now highly-prized (and priced)old Bach Mt. Vernon mouthpieces. The Bach 7 that came out on Monday was most likely quite different than the one that was cut on Friday....
I've often wondered why the oldies fetch such high prices on the unmentionable online auction site...
