I recently found myself having to try and find one of these beasts for Cincinnati Opera. It was very hard to find someone who would rent out a Cimbasso. As it turned out I ended up not needing it after all. Chicago Lyric has an extra one and was willing to rent it, however they prefer that you pick it up in person. John Tabeling also has one that he rents out. He is a freelance tubist who works in the Cincinnati area. His e-mail is tabeling(AT)rm1.net.
