Last time I actually cried while playing was in the TUSAB Brass Band. Our conductor made a dedication to some troops who had been killed earlier in the day in a helicopter crash. We played a hauntingly beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace by William Hines. Our solo tenor horn player, Dave Kratz, played so intenselely...I still get all goose-pimply thinking about it.

The last several times that I have been moved to tears listening to a performance has been listening to children's choirs. Probably just the Dad in me, but a good children's choir hits me where I live every time.
