I am sure that you all remember the post a few weeks ago I submitted, entitled "question from a non-tubist" about a tuba playing in my HS marching band and soussa playing etc....
I thought I would update you all as to the decision. This tuba player will be playign the tenor drums (quints). We felt that this would 1) not hurt his lips 2) improve his rhythm 3) bring some sane people to my percussion section. He seems to enjoy it. He also arranged his schedule so that he is in the bandhall practicing for an hour and a half daily on top of his home practice.
