I play a 20J and my less than objective opinion is that the sound is terrific. I agree with Lew that you could easily overwhelm a small ensemble but for any kind of full band playing you would be making a good contribution. I further agree that the 20J has a classic American sound but in recent years, people have come to expect a thinner European sound with much less presence. These misguided folks look down on 2XJ's with the wrong headed notion they sound wrong. Ignore them.
