Ted Heath's big band (British) produced a recorded albumn "Kern for Moderns" in the mid 1950s. "The Song is You" is one of the best trumpet solos I have ever heard and would teach melodic technique to anyone within hearing. The trumpet player is not credited. If you have the chance, grab it and listen.
