I've thought about sending a mouthpiece out to one of the outfits that plates edge connectors on printed circuit boards. Many (if not most) plate a gold alloy (trade-named "auracine"(sp?)) that's quite a bit harder than 24K gold and is supposed to stand up to wear very well.
Anyone have any experience with this?
