When I had a piston valve tuba, I had excellent results with the Space Filler for new or tight valves. I don't recall if that was "TS", but I didn't use any regular valve oil. Space Filler is synthetic and I doubt if it should be mixed with regular oil. About every 6 months, or as the mood struck me, I'd disassemble the valves, wash them in warm soapy water, and dry them well. I'd "see-saw" a wet terry cloth through the pistons. Then reassemble, putting Space Filler on the valves. I's use a little extra and turn the valves around the piston several times before seating the valve all the way in. I rarely had to reoil the valves, and when I did, I use just a small amount of Space Filler.
