Hey!
I just purchased a 2155S at Dillon only a few days ago! I went there with my eyes on the 2145, 56J and the used PT-3. The 2155 came out of no-where! It's not a whole lot bigger than the 2145, but enough to make a difference. I loved the dynamic range (from soft to loud it was better than the 2145), and intonation was awesome. They have a lacquer 2155 left, which I felt wasn't as free blowing, but you may differ from that opinion. To me my 2155 was as free blowing as the MW2000 (which is a beautiful horn...with a not so beautiful price tag!:o). The 2165 at Dillons is a great horn, and plays awesome. However, I can't see it being an all around horn. To me it is not a horn for quintets, or other smaller ensembles. If you have a smaller horn to compliment it and can handle a 6/4 (I can't!) then it may work for you. I wanted an all around horn, and the 2155 I know will work with everything I need it to.
Any questions feel free to e-mail me.
Jay
