...Anyway, the CC and the BBb both are well-built, sound fine, and are low-cost. The CC's quirky pitch things are in the high register, and (as I recall) the BBb's (4 valves / front-action) quirky pitch thing is right around the tuning note (second line Bb) which I seem to recall is a bit flat (like the same quirk on the Willson EEb tuba and euphonium).

There's one hangin' on the wall here. If you want a real serious critique, I'll pull it down tomorrow and play it with a tuner with pencil and paper in front of me.

To clarify: You are asking about the four-valve 3/4-size (I assumed) or the four-valve (top-action) 4/4 size?...

...There is also a three-valve TOP-action 3/4-size...
