Or, maybe a recommendation into a college music program. Defy your high school band director and watch him grin when you find you need his recommendation to get into that tuba performance program at the university.
Let me be clear. If the student plays his CC as well as a BBb, I would let him play it. But, even though I disagree with his director, I am still appalled that others would advise him to defy his director and to play the CC anyway.
