I have a lacquered Conn Jumbo that is for sale. It has three tight valves, everything is in great condition, and it has minimal dings. Built in 1926, it was originally owned by a circus band musician. After that, it was owned by two different collectors, then i purchased it two years ago. I've gigged with it some (scares people), and it really doesn't seem THAT heavy, but then I like working out, too. There is no resistance AT ALL when you are playing something this big, but then you never feel like you have to "push" or work that hard, either. This horn has a top- 1st valve slide, like a concert tuba, and plays very well in tune. The details are neat, too, like mother-of-pearl inlaid bottom caps, etc. If you want a LARGER sousaphone, e-mail me privately.
