I use a Monette 94 mouthpiece. Some people like them some don't, but it is a heavyweight mouthpiece like your mouthpiece. I have 5 other mouthpieces, but I keep going back to the Monette. You cannot be lazy with heavy mouthpieces. You have to put in even more air and and have to be more accurate. If your not careful, you might start hitting more wrong partials. When you concentrate and use more air in low/mid registar and faster air in the upper registar, you'll sound like a million bucks. Heavy mouthpieces seem to slot the notes better , as you mentioned, and has a warmer, yet more focused sound.
