Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. I do have a 4/4 Rudy (RM-10) and it is an amazingly versatile instrument. The only complaint I have about it is the intonation quirks I have to work around on it. Of course, I'll take those in a heartbeat to get the sound that horn produces. If you can only own one tuba, this model is a hard one to beat. One of my students just bought a used RM-10 and it plays very similarly to mine. She's VERY pleased. From a versatility standpoint, this horn is very hard to beat.
