Thanks very much to all who responded. I thoroughly enjoyed reading every one your stories. Seems like a rather large percentage of us switched over from another instrument (or otherwise sort of wandered in) . . . and, like me, sooner or later became mesmerized by the large, delicious sound that only a tuba can make.
