I originally started (like many others) in 7th grade on cornet, and I thought I was decent. I made it up to second chair my 8th grade year, then (after braces) slowly progressed back down to the lower chairs (Trumpet 3 and 4 parts). By the beginning of 9th grade, I didn't want to do anything more with band, UNTIL my Jr. High and (soon to be) High School directors decided to test me out on euphonium and tuba. I sucked at euphonium, but I could actually get notes out of a tuba. Anyway...

I'm going to be a junior in high school this fall, and I am second chair in the Wind Ensemble, I play in the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra and the State Fair Honor Jazz Band, and I picked up bass guitar about a year ago. I play bass at my church. Tuba really changed my life. *Sob* Just kidding. ;)
