Ditto to what my good friend Heather says!
I played so many instruments it confused everyone. After almost deserting music completely, I found that the tuba, which I never expected at all, was the one instrument I loved to sit down and play. I started learning tuba when I was 12, but it took me just about 13 years after that to get truly serious. (We're talking VERY recently!) But to answer the question, the tuba fits me as a person, and I love being different... I was told in fifth grade girls had to play clarinets, flutes, etc., and weren't allowed to play tuba or string bass. So... I naturally had to do it. I paid to go to a different school, and my fate was sealed!! I would never go back to anything else! (Well except other low brass of course!)
