I wouldn't use a diaphragm vibrato when singing. Voice vibrato should come naturally, and if it doesn't then your vocal cords are too tight.

I've always used a jaw vibrato and I've always been complimented on my warm vibrato and lyrical style. But I was playing for my tuba teacher and he said that it sounded too much like a violin vibrato, all the vibrato coming from changes in pitch rather than volume. He also said that he didn't like diaphragm vibratos because they do the opposite, create a vibrato effect with volume instead of pitch. He suggested I use both to better recreate a true singer's vibrato. I didn't try it, so I can't tell you if it can work or not.
