Use the jaw vibrato. It doesn't change your sound (by changing the air stream) when you use it. This is always preferable! I've seen others do it rarely, but usually the diaphram vibrato is really overly fast and ends up sounding like a shake in the sound. For consistency of sound, the jaw vibrato is the way to go.
