Try going here for a lower price than 17.99, and listen to some spots.

This CD ain't new, it's been out for months. The subject came up here a while back - a string relating to the pervasiveness of recordings of transcriptions by brass groups, and the neglect of original brass works. IMHO the real problem is too much kitsch, and not enough serious music. Kitsch is what the Canadian's to a T, but whether it's the Canadians, or the 3 tenors, kitsch is dumbing down the public. That's why the Canadians are to be congratulated for a Golberg Variations that some keyboard players could learn a thing or two from. In fact I sold one to a very fussy piano player and collector who bought one in spite of some skepicism. Next time he saw me, he thanked me.

So this is what these guys are really capable of playing real music - transcribed or otherwise. How about Bozza, Ewald, Arnold, ETLER?!
