These horns were made by B&S in (then) East Germany. Identical horns
were marketed in the U.S. under the Karl Zeiss and Sonora stencils.
If I recall correctly, the Schneider versions were imported by
Decatur Music. Every one of these horns I've played has been better
than decent. A couple have been extremely good. All have suffered
from the traditional German really flat fifth partials. On the one
I used to own I played the (in the staff) c-4, dflat 2-3, and d 1-2.
If it's in good shape and you like the way it plays, it's probably
a good deal at $2K.
