I have a Mirafone 183-4U, which has adjusting screws in the bottom cap of each rotor. I recently found the 1st valve to be a little noisy. I had heard that the bottom screws were for just that, so I decided to try it. I got a screw driver which fit the screw head perfectly, put it in the slot and thought briefly about turning it. Worked like a champ.
Don't know if yours is fitted with adjusting screws, but if it is, have a go.
