I don't know about one of my eyes being significanly weaker than the other but a year ago when I had my eyes last checked the doctor commented that my eyes were perfectly set up to read music at the distance it would normally be away on a stand.
I don't need glasses to drive or read yet, but for comfort's sake I got a pair for night driving.
