The Meinl Weston 25 is the standard that other rotary BBb's try to achieve. It is the sturdiest built of all. I see 30 year old, school owned Meinl Westons that are in better shape than the typical 15 year old, school owned, Miraphones. As a private owner, there is no reason a MW 25 can't last you the rest of your life. I wish I could buy a $4300 car that could do that!
The Meinl Weston 25 also has very good intonation. There's also something about the sound of a Meinl Weston that just projects.
Dave at Baltimore Brass has some blems that will save you some money. If you are closer to Dillon Music in NJ, give me a call. I have some 25's including one blem, too.
