Do you have an old horn in decent condition that you haven't taken out of the case in years? Do you know of someone who used to play? The Portraits Project has partnered with Coalition for the Homeless, the Police Athletic League, Meet the Composer, The Meridian Arts Ensemble and Quintet of the Americas to initiate a program putting instruments into the hands of homeless New York children living in shelters and providing them with lessons and ensemble instruction through the volunteer efforts of some of New York's finest free-lance players. Our fall session will begin the first week of October and right now our greatest need is for tubas and trombones. All donations are completely tax deductable.
