This tuba used to be owned by Dan Anderson of Chicago and was reconstructed in 1993 by Walter Nirschl. I purchased it from Dan in July of 1997.
Originally a BBb , it retains the original bell and bow and the rest is a copy of the Jacobs CC York. This is the second copy ever made by Walter Nirschl (the first was for Floyd Cooley) and is a prototype of the Jacobs York CC copy currently for sale by Walter Nirschl.
It is a beautiful instrument with all the qualities of the current Nirschl model. It is in near perfect condition with just a couple of very small dings.
