If you plan on auditioning for FSU, and you're thinking about private lessons, hook up with Paul Ebbers (either give him a call or drive up to Talle) and play for him. He's an outstanding person and teacher and would definitely tell you where you stand with the competition. From your comments, it sounds like you need to get with an instructor. There are a number of great players and instructors in the state. Jay can help you with that. (I suggest you get with him if you're in the south Florida area), I'm no longer in Florida, so, I really don't no any of the others. If you want a Music Ed degree, FSU is excellent. If you want to play professionally someday, personally, I think instructors are more important.

Just helpin' out.
