You might also consider a Bach 18. This is a good all-round mouthpiece that does well on the Sousaphones I've played. It's also cheap and can be replaced if damaged at almost any music store, even those in small towns. I like the idea of using it for outdoor gigs where I would not want to risk pavement contact with my gold-plated PT-48.
