Hello everyone. I recently made it into the San Diego Youth Symphony, and now auditions for principal chair are being held (there are two tubas). I need to play a 3-minute solo that would really show off my abilities. I played the first movement of Suite for Tuba by Don Haddad for the first audition, and I think it would be best to pick a different piece. I was thinking about Concerto in One Movement by Lebedev, but I figured I should ask for suggestions. If you know of a 3-minute solo that is easily memorized withinin 5 weeks, please tell me. Thanks in advance!
