Yes --
The worst our jazz band has ever played was when we did a concert right after eating big at a steakhouse. We had a quick rehearsal, went to eat meat, then came back just minutes before we were supposed to play. Compared to what we usually do, there was just no energy on stage, and we didn't enjoy the results at all.
Even before that episode, I knew that I played concerts best if I didn't eat more than five bites or so beforehand. But, I can see that it might be beneficial to practice after eating -- it would be a form of strength training, and if you _had_ to play after a big meal, you'd know how to handle it.
Do brush your teeth, though... :)
