"RAGTIME" (Broadway show touring company): Has anyone done this tuba/baritone doubling gig, yet? If so, is the conductor a gentleman? I enjoy doing the Broadway shows when they come up and most of their music directors are wonderful people, but I have sworn off putting up with any more N.Y.C. (_!_) conductors. I have been asked to write this one down in my book for early in the winter, and was just wondering if it is a pleasant experience.
Ruined 6/4 bell: As posted earlier, I would like to purchase a ruined (perhaps one with the bell flare all spider-cracked and/or rim torn, etc.) 6/4-size upright bell with a very large throat. I would appreciate any referrals, or notifying anyone that you might know that has something like this saved in their scrap-pile of parts. I only need the part of the bell BELOW the flare to be in FIXABLE shape.
