Hey it's sumner from Honor Band, Just put a couple of glasses of luke warm water down the bell and turn the tuba vertically (like rotate the horn so you put it upsidedown and right side up again until all the water comes out the lead pipe), be sure to run warm water on the pistons after you take them out, completely dry them and apply oil to them. grease slides too. I did this to my horn and it played slightly different. It played a lot better.
