Hello Y'all!

Well, after a nearly 2-month leave of absence from any Internet
activities, I've finally arrived home again after teaching, uuh, way too
many summer camps ;-)

In the midst of 7 weeks of mail, e-mail, and phone messages (I'll get
back to y'all ASAP - I'm working on it!), I found this from one of my
adult, "community band" students:

For Sale: Conn 5J 4-valve BBb tuba. Lacquer plate, with black cordura
gig bag. Minor scar on inside of bell, and a couple of minor dents in
the bottom bow (less than an inch in diameter...).
A "9.5" on a scale from 1 to 10. Approximately 2 years old. Must Sell -
$3,000.

I readily admit that I've been out of the loop for years on what is a
good BBb tuba, prices, etc., but I believe that this horn now "stickers"
new at around $4,500 or so. It is basically the BBb version of the Conn
that Harvey Phillips played for years and years before going to his new
Holton model. Anyway, it was cared for like a baby, and will make a
great horn for someone looking for a BBb tuba at a great price.

Please contact me directly if interested, either via e-mail or phone
(410.263.7679).

And to the gazillion or so of you who have e-mailed me about various
stuff this summer - I'm working on it! It's "internet weekend" at my
house ;-)

Glad to be back -

Kelly O.
