Honestly, there's no harm taking seperate recordings of movements and putting them together in an audition tape in my experience. The only time editing is an issue is when individual movements are spliced together from seperate takes. While this can be a common practice in commerical recording (don't ask me for specific examples, I know none personally), it is viewed as deceptive in the world of audition tapes.
