Does the bell have dents/creases/cuts/gouges/holes? If not, or if not TOO severe, someone should be able to spin your old bell to look almost new. If there are creases that leave it severely thin in spots careful patching can still leave it sounding every bit as playable as when new (horn players do this with their old Kruspes all the time.) Try calling one of these three references : Dillon's or Custom Music or Anderson/Allied, and ask about the cost for "spinning a bell" (turning it smooth on a lathe.)
