The handling of this situation is truly dispicable, which brings up a point regarding teaching at a university and politics. I don't believe Ted has any advanced degrees beyond a Bachelors. That is why is is only a "Visiting Assistant Professor". He could have been putting students in every major orchestra and premier military band in the world. This doesn't matter to paper pusher administration types at the university level. How many degrees you have and are you published is all they care about. It's how you look on paper, not how well you teach or perform that matters. I wish all the best to Ted.
