Maybe it's just Miraphone, but I played a 186 for a number of years, followed by an old prototype 188. I never did a single thing for those rotors, except change the nylon stops (or are they teflon) once in a while. They were fast as the wind, and I never had ANY problems with them what so ever. In fact, the more I ignored them, the better they worked. I've never encountered one single piston horn where that statement would even begin to apply. However, I'm sure that the rotors on a Helicon might not be in the same league as these Miraphone ones were. My zwei groschen, for whatever they're worth.
