Chuck gave you good advice. Just use common sense. Look at the mouthpieces of the various brass instruments and then look at the proportions of the mouthpieces compared to the sizes of the instruments. Smaller instruments generally work better with a smaller mouthpiece. As with all things, there are exceptions. Like Chuck said, don't go by what is stamped on the mouthpiece, go with what sounds best for you. As long as you follow that rule as well as the rule that goes something like "choose a mouthpiece that let's you produce a characteristic sound on your instrument", you'll be fine. If you choose a mouthpiece that makes your F tuba sound like a BAT, you can probably expect some major intonation problems. Choose a mouthpiece that fits you and let's you maximize the qualities of your horn.
