I've been looking for The Best of Fletch CD for quite some time and have finally found it. Definately worth the wait. David McDaniel of Bernel music searched many months and tracked down the CD and the book and has them in stock ready for purchase.
The CD has a lot of *very* tasty playing. Uncommonly musical and worthy of emulation. Every selection is a real gem.
The book is primarily a tribute rather than pedagogical in nature. Very good read what little I've read thus far. He was and is highly regarded by those that knew him and we really ought not let him be forgotten in the tuba community.
Neither is cheap but the proceeds go to a very good cause in the John Fletcher trust fund.
