My 4/4 RM CC works for me. I don't use it as much in the orchestra as I used to but for the first 15+ years of my tenure with the FPO, the RM was my primary instrument. They project REALLY well. My experience has been that my horn doesn't sound so great up close and by itself but in the ensemble it sounds wonderful. Another player in a major orchestra that hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet is Wes Jacobs. He used a RM 5/4 CC in the Detroit Symphony for many years. Bottom line is that these horns are among some of the best ones produced anywhere. If you're in the market, you should definitely try one out.
