Sorry Sean! I didn't say anything like a professional must sound good on a horn just because he removed his lacquer. I didn't even think about that. I dont give a sh!t what he or she plays. I was simply saying that there will indeed be a SLIGHT change in sound if the horn was lacquered, and then you unlacquer it. Paint or lacquer or some type of coating over brass WILL change the resonance SLIGHTLY from it being raw brass. I guess some people have better ears than others. 'Seems Mark is right on this one. You will probably delete this though.
