I'm trying to clear out the front room and I have several older tuba mutes I'd like to sell.
Mirafone used to (?) make a wooden mute. I have 2 of them and want them to go to a good home. 1 of them is an adjustable and the other is not. They tend to not mute very much but rather just change the timbre of the sound. They do work better on bells the size of a Mirafone 186 or Meinl Weston 30/32/or 25. Sell for $30 each plus $10 shipping.
Ron Apperson and Tennessee Tech had nothing on some of us back in the 70's. I have a very good aluminum home made mute for a small F tuba, Mirafone 180 size, and one I used for many years with a Meinl Weston model 30 tuba. It was as in-tune as I could get and the price, for me was right. Sell the larger one for $30 and the smaller one for $20 with shipping still $10 each.
