...true. But this often results in very high prices. Remember the Holton 6/4 BBb that was for sale after Rick Denney regaled us with tales of the one he had bought at Baltimore Brass? In my opinion, (remembering that it sold for somewhere around $5000)that horn fetched around $2000 more than it would have (and maybe should have)otherwise. The buyer got what's probably a good horn, and the seller made out like a bandit, but it wasn't a "good deal". Before ebay, the guy would have been lucky to get $2000 for it in the newspaper or at a flea market. To me, a good deal is one like a friend of mine that bought a beautiful used 4/4 Hirsbrunner from someone in Europe for about $4000. I check ebay frequently, but not every day, and I don't remember a real deal in a long time on any horns I'm on the lookout for...Cerveny Piggies, or 621 F tubas.
