Hello, I am looking for an off the wall chamber piece for a recital in the fall. I was wondering if anybody out there has played some of Morton Feldman's chamber music that involves tuba. The ones that I am thinking of specifically are "Durations III" for Tuba, Violin, and Piano and "Chorus and Instruments II" for Chimes, Tuba, and small chorus. I know that there is another chamber work "Vertical Thoughts V", but the performing forces may be a bit large for a recital. If you know these works I would like your opinions. Did you enjoy performing the piece? What was the audience's reaction? What is the difficulty level that one can expect when preparing? Thanks very much!
