I started on a PT88 for a year and once I got to grad school Toby Hanks recommended I try the Shilke Helleberg II I think it's an excellent combination with the PT-6, makes my sound much more clear, I lose just a tiny bit down low but for the clarity it brings it's worth it, especially in brass quintet or any ensemble for that matter.
