In 1972, I bought my first CC 186 Miraphone in College Station and for a tuba, a wood hard case and a gig bag that was nothing more than a glorified vinyl covered sleeping bag with a shoulder strap, all for $1700. I bought it from a man, Mr Cullen who sold them out of his house in the front room. His window faced the A&M campus.
