Personally, I would not set one foot inside of the Tuba Exchange. You can spend $300 for a round trip plane ticket to CA to see Tony Clements to try out his tubas and still spend less money than they charge at TE. Buying a tuba is a significant investment for most and spending a little to travel and go in person to try out different tubas is well worth the cost, in my opinion. All tubas don't play the same and have the same intonation. Find one that works the best for you.
